Aliens in Aokigahara forest and Dyatlov Pass
Let's venture into a world of supposed mysteries. Could alien interference be behind the reputation of Aokigahara Forest, or as some have named it, "The Suicide forest," and the tragedy at Dyatlov Pass?
In Digging up Ancient Aliens, our host Fredrik uses his background in archaeology to discover what is genuine, fake, and somewhere in between in popular media such as Ancient Aliens.
This time we're looking into episode ten from season three, "Aliens and evil places." Or rather, we look into two of the sites brought up in the episode, Aokigahara Forest and Dyatlov Pass.
Aokigahara Forest has been called in popular media the "Suicide Forest," and we will look into the reason behind this. By investigating Japanese culture, history, and the area itself, we will try to find the reason for the forest's reputation. While I don't go into any gruesome details, the topic of suicide will be discussed in the episode. If you need help or someone to talk to, I've collected some resources below.
Then we're off to Russia and will dissect the Dyatlov Pass incident. What happened that night when nine hikers died, and what does the Disney movie Frozen have to do with the answer?

Alien creationism with Josh Lindal
Most of us are most likely aware of the arguments against the theory of evolution presented by religious extremists. But did you know that Ancient Aliens believers have their version of evolution denialism? In this episode, we will examine their arguments for this fringe idea. More importantly, we will learn more about human evolution from a real expert.
We have Josh Lindal, a paleoanthropologist at the University of Winnipeg, guesting on this episode. Josh is also one of the hosts of the podcast "Screens of the Stone Age." A show where three archaeologists watch and discuss different archaeological-themed movies and series.
In this episode, we will look closer on:
Human Evolution
Homo Naledi
Desmond Morris
Russel Wallace and Darwin
Mitochondrial Eve (mt-Eve)
Why humans don't have fur
Genes
Panspermia

Aliens and the Secret Code
Are you ready to uncover the secret code to Alien navigation? Or are the evidence just historical sites that are being misinterpreted?
In Digging up Ancient Aliens, our host Fredrik uses his background in archaeology to discover what is genuine, fake, and somewhere in between on the TV show Ancient Aliens.
This time we're investigating the claim that different lines and grids cross the earth with strange powers. According to the believers, these grids were used by the Ancient Aliens to navigate, and in some of the locations, power stations were built. So, is there any truth in this? Let's examine this with a bit of skepticism and science.
First, we start by trying to locate what some call the World Grid, Planetary Grid, or Earth Energy Grid. Some propose that Plato first discovered this. Is this true, or was the philosopher talking about something else?
Then we go to Ireland and the Newgrange Mound. Could this monument hold alien alignments that the Neolithic people of Ireland could not have known?
Then we investigate Ley Lines, Viking forts, and if the Vikings could have traveled not by sea. But by air.
Lastly, we will look into Thor Heyerdahl and ask ourselves what harm pseudoscience can cause and what other ideas it can inspire.

Ancient Apocalypse IV - Written in stone with Jens Notroff
In this episode, we continue to look into Graham Hancock's new Netflix show, Ancient Apocalypse. Join Fredrik, who uses his background in archaeology and a bit of skepticism to look deeper into the claims presented in the show. Is Hancock on to something we missed, or are there better explanations?
This is the final chapter of our Ancient Apocalypse saga. We have looked at Hancock's origin and spent time at several different sites in episodes 31 and 32.
In this episode, we revisit the infamous Bimini Road in the Bahamas. This site has long been touted as evidence of everything from extraterrestrial visitation to Graham Hancock's lost civilization. But is there any evidence to support these claims? We critically examine the site and its history, separating fact from fiction.
We then delve into the world of old maps, including Piri Reis's map of the world, which has been the subject of much speculation and controversy. Is there any evidence suggesting that this map proves advanced ancient civilizations existed? We examine the claims and see where the evidence sets the course.
Later, we're joined by archaeologist Jens Notroff, an expert on Göbekli Tepe, an archaeological site that has been the subject of many pseudoscientific theories. Jens shares his knowledge and insights about the site, bringing you the latest research. He has also been involved in the project Tepe Telegrams.
Finally, we explore the archeoastronomy claims made by Martin Sweatman and presented by Graham Hancock. Are these claims based on solid evidence or mere speculation? We examine the evidence and present a critical analysis.
In this episode:
Bimini Road (2:33)
Piri Reis Map and Oronteus Finaeus (11:50)
Göbekli Tepe (20:32)
Interview with Jens Notroff (21:09)

Ancient Apocalypse - Echoes of the Ancient with Dr. Kinkella
In part one, we learned about Graham Hancock's origin and inspiration. We learned about Gunung Padang, Cholula Pyramid, and the Malta Mystery in part two.
This time we will continue looking into the sites he brings up as evidence. We will visit the large complex of Poverty Point and see what we know and how we know it—looking at some theories Hancock has left out. After that, we're back with the Serpent Mound, was Hancock banned from the site? We also look into the current discussion about the age of the mound.
Lastly, we will go down underground and visit Derinkuyu. Was this a location people used to seek shelter from armies or aliens? Or was it an ark protecting humankind from the serpents in the sky?
