Clare is known on social media as @Cerasmusteach and is a practising Designated Mental Health Lead (D.M.H.L.) at a comprehensive secondary school in Hampshire. This is a role she has had since 2015 so she brings a wealth of experience which she has documented in her first book 'The Mental Health and Wellbeing Handbook for Schools: Transforming Mental Health Support on a budget.' As a practising Designated Mental Health Lead, who is on a mission to try & build a whole school culture of mental health and wellbeing, Im always on the lookout for platforms which can help a wide range of stakeholders in schools and their wider community
With the announcement of the second national lockdown many parents and older siblings might find themselves at home as they are having to isolate or are shielding to help stop the spread of the Covid-19 virus. This might also be matched with people finding themselves feeling increasingly isolated and with growing anxiety
I was looking for online mental health support for parents and families where I could guarantee the quality of the support but also ensure it was easy to access
I have had the pleasure of working with Sue Webb in the past - ex Headteacher and now a Professional coach - and I love her work because in her workshops she gets us to ask ourselves these questions
How can I be more resilient?
How could I find more courage to make positive changes?
What does a healthier me look like?
How can I be kinder to myself?
I had the pleasure of being able to interview her this afternoon about her 'Dare to Discover' live workshops adn courses where she personally invites you to engage with her as she gets you to focus on discovering and using your character strengths - to help you feel stronger and happier, to make things happen and achieve some goals.
