    In episode 73 of HealingMatters, Jason Eagle talks about Vitamin D. Why Vitamin D is important. How you can make Vitamin D. What you can eat that has Vitamin D. Why Premier Research Labs has the best Vitamin D supplement. The safest and the best form of Vitamin D is from the sunshine. I like to get 20 minutes of Vitamin D from exposure from the sunshine is the best way to have your body make Vitamin D. Take off your sunglass, your hat, your sunscreen and layout in your bathing suit. If you have darker skin, you will need more direct sunshine. Chronic low Vitamin D is correlated to Heart Disease, Stroke, Hypertension, Diabetes and more. Vitamin D also increases your mood and helps protect against Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). It's important for health and strong bones. Vitamin D is the immune system. You make Vitamin D from the sunshine converting cholesterol within the skin to Vitamin D. Vitamin D helps your mucosal membrane grab onto pollen, virus, bacteria and remove it so the toxins can't enter the blood stream. When the mucosal membrane dries out in the winter or dry air, it creates cracks that allow toxins in. Disease if your immune system attacking toxins. Your immune system is like a force field. Your body needs minerals and vitamins to build and boost the immune system. Light comes in different spectrum and lengths. UVB is the spectrum from the sunshine that we need to make Vitamin D. The sunshine burns the fat and converts the cholesterol in our skin to Vitamin D. Tanning is a response from the full spectrum sunlight. You can eat food that contains Vitamin D. If the animal is exposed to sunshine and grasses that also received the sunshine. Grass fed beef, lamb, bison, ostrich, tuna, salmon, mackerel, and hearing are high in Vitamin D. As are free range eggs with naturally vibrant orange yolks. Healthy Fat is not bad. Healthy Cholesterol is not bad. Plants that contain Vitamin D are the plants with the richest and deepest colors. Greens like spinach, cabbage, kale, cauliflower and vibrant colored foods. Premier Research labs makes the best Vitamin D because it also contains K2. K2 is (menaquinone).     Is Chocolate a Superfood Or Junk Food? What's the healthiest kind of Chocolate? What is Chocolate? In episode 72 of HealingMatters, Jason Eagle will explain how to eat Chocolate as a Superfood! Believe it or not, our beloved chocolate candy bars, chocolate chips, and chocolate truffles actually started as a plant. A cacao tree grows in tropical/rainforest regions with lots of rain and sunshine! Once the cacao tree flowers, it produces a seed pod. 20 to 50 cacao beans are within this pod. Cacao beans are loaded in antioxidants and polyphenols. Raw cacao beans are fermented or roasted before they are processed, heated, and turned into the cocoa. Cocoa is then mixed with fat, sugar, and other natural or artificial flavors yielding the mass produced chocolate we buy at the stores. Interestingly enough, global chocolate companies like Cadbury, Hershey's, and Nestle have different recipes and use different ingredients depending upon which country they are selling their product in. Local and Craft chocolatiers usually have a higher standard for ingredients that use, thus producing a superior and gourmet chocolate. Zingerman's in Ann Arbor is a great example of a craft chocolate company. David Avocado Wolfe is one of the first companies I was exposed to that made raw chocolates. When he was in town, he brought some real cacao beans with him that still had the white pith on the outside of the bean. I was shocked at how sweet this pith was, almost like a jelly bean! It can increase energy, and it's loaded with polyphenols, minerals, and antioxidants. In general, the darker the chocolate, the healthier it is because of the ratio of cocoa to sugar. The darker the chocolate, the less sugar, milk, and other ingredients. As we know, sugar is a junk food. There are two types of arthritis: Rheumatoid arthritis and Osteoarthritis. Jason will list six steps to stop arthritis pain and Premier Research Labs Supplements to support each step.

    Rheumatoid Arthritis is general fatigue, swelling with red, hot, and tender joints. Moving the joints makes it feel better. Osteoarthritis is arthritis in the bones and cartilage. Moving the body makes it hurt more. Bacteria and Viruses live in the joints and create waste products that erode the joints and bones. Excessive protein consumption is often blamed but it's actually that the body can't digest the protein and more waste products flood the liver with toxins. What should you take to be healthy? 1. Cod Liver Oil: Like it's name states, Cod Liver Oil is made from the liver's of Cod fish. But did you know there are many other superior fish that make superior fish oils? Fish Oil is a fat. It helps reduce inflammation. It also helps reduce joint pain and it's good for your brain. Your body NEEDS oil/fat! Other Essential Fatty Acids (EFA's) are DHA, EPA, GLA, CLA, and Omegas. 2. Glucosamine: Glucosamine is found in cartilage. It helps lubricate the joints and it aids in digestion. 3. Echinacea: Echinacea decreases infection and protects against cold. It's also an antiviral. You'll see it used in combination with Sambuca or Elderberry. Echinacea is also known as Purple Coneflower. Grown some in your garden! 4. Flaxseed Oil: Flax seed can be taken as an oil or as a seed. If you use it in the seed form, you are also getting the fiber. Fiber will help aid digestion but your brain, joints, and metabolism may also benefit from the oil. 5. Ginseng: There are three types of Ginseng. It's good for your whole body that's why the root looks like the body. It is an adaptogen and can help increase energy and stamina. 6. Combo Herbs: Combo herbs are just that, a mix of many different herbs in one capsule. Gout is extremely painful, hot, swelling in the joints. There is a direct correlation between the food you eat and the increase or decrease in the Gout symptoms. Learn how to decrease the inflammation and infection...Naturally! Gout is pain, swelling, and inflammation in the joints from a buildup of uric acid. Uric Acid is a waste byproduct from digesting purines in food. Swelling and inflammation tends to increase overnight. Uric acid created infection. Gout is also called The King's Disease because rich foods that are rich in Arginine like liver, meat, chocolate, wheat, shrimp, beer, nuts can trigger gout symptoms. Gout is connected to infection. It's hard to test uric acid levels for precursors to gout. Gout's painful warning signs also create an infection that will dissolve the bones because your body needs minerals to make Hydrochloric Acid (HCL) and feed the immune system. The stomach can digest food. A buildup of uric acid actually means your stomach needs MORE acid. Antacids and too much Calcium will neutralize the stomach and do the opposite of what your body needs. There are things to eat and drink to make your stomach more acidic for better digestion. For instance, Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV), Sea Salt, Celery Juice, and Potato Juice will help aid digestion and reduce Uric Acid. Eliminate fried foods, processed foods, and other foods high in Arginine. Increase eating foods high in L-Lysine. Don't eat foods that feed infections like sugar. Bacteria and Yeast feed off of sugar. You need more HCL. People that sit or stand for long periods of time are more prone to gout. Gout likes to settle in the toes because of the decreased blood flow to the joints so far away from the heart. There are several things you can do to increase the blood flow. Wear a good pair of compression socks. Do Super Elevation Therapy by lying on your back on the floor and putting your legs up on the wall so there is a 90 degree bend in your hips. Hot Cold Contrast Therapy will increase blood flow. Rebounding (bouncing) on a trampoline and then elevate your feet on the wall.     Connective Tissue is the most abundant tissue in the body. It is also called fascia. Fascia holds EVERYTHING together and in place in your body. Connective tissue surrounds your muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones, and organs. Everything is wrapped in it's own Connective tissue which then connects to one big sheet of connective tissue (facia). Tight connective tissue (facia) can create bad posture because the knotted connective tissue can create muscle spasms and shorten the connective tissue.





    Fibromyalgia, Inflammation, and Autoimmune Diseases may be caused from tight connective tissue (facia). These diseases can be very painful. Tight connective tissue can also cause you to be cold. The tissue can get so tight that it pinches the blood vessels decreasing blood flow.

Chiropractic work and Structural Integration. Realigning the back and hips will keep your posture in a healthy position and decrease knots in the connective tissue. 3. Stretching and Yoga actually stretches the connective tissue (fascia) before the muscles are allowed to stretch. That's why stretching certain areas of the body, like the hips, have to be held for so long. Everything has to release before the actual joint can stretch. 4. Vitamin C helps build collagen. Collagen makes your connective tissue (fascia) supple. 5. Zinc helps break up adhesions. 6. Bone Broth made from bones that have the joints attached contains connective tissue (facia) and collagen.
