Episode 8 - Stelios
In this instalment of Here We Go Again, Luke and Mikey chat to European Championship winner and former Wanderers winger, Stelios Giannakopoulos!
Despite some connections issues, we covered Stelios' career in whole, from his time dominating the Greek Superleague with Olympiacos, to that historic national victory in Portugal to completely shock the world, to his time at Bolton and beyond.
On Bolton, we discuss the dressing room at the time, how Nicky Hunt was the greatest player in the whole team (that may or may not be true) and just how much of a soft spot the crafty Greek wide player has for Wanderers. -
Episode 7 - Youri Djorkaeff!
In this latest episode, Luke and Mikey chat to a Wanderers hero of the 2000s.
His resume includes a World Cup, European Championship, UEFA Cup and more.. as Youri Djorkaeff joins us!
We asked Youri about how he got into the game as a youngster and how his father played a key role in his early days.
From there, we asked what it was like to play under Arsene Wenger at Monaco, his move to Paris Saint Germain and then moving abroad to Italy.
We continued to look deeper into his time at Inter Milan, asking what it was like to play with the Brazilian Ronaldo and just how good "Ronny" was to be around.
We'd be remiss not to cover his glorious time with the French national team and discussing in detail about their journey to both World Cup and European Championship glory!
After this, we spoke about his love for Bolton Wanderers including just how the deal came about and how Bolton will always have a special place in his heart.
One for the casual football fan for sure!
