    Episode 9: Coming Out of Survival Mode

    Hey friends, welcome to Intuition Awakening! Today I share my experiences of coming out of survival mode after nearly 30 years, including working full time again, building my business, treating myself to singing lessons with a vocal coach and healing my inner child that had so many unmet needs. Do you resonate with any of those topics too? On our healing journey we often want to feel "done". We want the journey of healing to end. Its like getting on an airplane, flying up into the world of healing, awareness, and therapy visits, and after working suppppper hard to learn how to self-soothe and feel better...suddenly we "arrive". We arrive at this new place, put our feet back on the ground...and it can be overwhelming. Often times we feel grief, anger or sadness. We look back and think "wow, was I really THERE, in that messy situation for so long?". We can feel unprepared for real life and out of step compared to our peers. I don't think we talk about the after effects of healing enough.  Yes, its absolutely freeing and totally worth the journey. But it can also be a bit of a shock to the system at first.     Episode 7: After the Attunement: What Reiki Attunements Feel Like

    Reiki is a stress reduction technique, a kind of energy healing that is over 100 years old. At each level of certification you are "attuned" to a higher frequency of energy. Ever wonder what that feels like? Today I'm sharing my own experiences and feelings after receiving each "attunement" for level 1, 2 and my Master's certification. Each level takes us to a deeper level of healing within us and allows us to help our client's, loved ones or friends at a deeper level too. At times Reiki can seem like a bit of a master, so here is the insider scoop and a first hand experience of how Reiki can feel. Remember though, everyone's experience of Reiki will be completely unique to YOU and your energy, so you may feel similar or you may not. Either way its okay!     Episode 5: Healing: How it Feels to Break Out

    In today's episode, I share what healing feels like. What happens when we open Pandora's box? Does it get easier to "awaken" and heal? I share some stories from my childhood hospital stay (don't worry, nothing graphic), and how I feel now as an adult who has become resilient. At the end of the day the healing journey is about just that; becoming more resilient to life around us. Not to never feel again (sorry folks, I know we sometimes wish we could just not feel at all), but to become better feelers.
