    In this episode, I discuss the challenges I faced in the past 5 months that includes illness, surgeries, family loss and employment changes. I went through a lot of ups and downs during that time, and even though I did not practice healthy OMAD and fell short on my regular workout schedule, I learned from what I went through and have come out the other end with a better understanding on how to handle negative thinking, and adapt to challenges and unforeseen circumstances. Lessons I learned include: not all weight loss is good weight loss, picking your battles, replacing unhealthy behavior with a healthier one, rolling with the punches and taking my time.

    How I Found Motivation to Lift Weights Again

    In this episode, I discuss how I have been struggling to continue keeping up with my weight lifting goals. I had been skipping the gym, and could not find the motivation to continue with the weight lifting routine that I had set for myself. Then, an unexpected person came to my rescue; my husband. He made a suggestion that worked like a charm, and now, I have newfound energy to continue with my workouts. If you’re having a hard time finding the motivation to continue with your exercises, try using visual reminders or visual aids to help you find new inspiration in your fitness journey.

    **I received feedback that my first two episodes sounded echoey, so I edited the audio for this episode. I welcome any further feedback**. In this episode, I discuss how the past few days have been a struggle to stay motivated and continue with my OMAD lifestyle. I did not want to continue with eating only one meal a day, I did not want to workout, and I questioned this way of eating as a part of my weight loss, health and fitness journey. I came up with all sorts of excuses as to why I should quit. I was close to giving up, before I found something that helped me stay on track – writing down the reasons why I started doing OMAD in the first place.

    Why OMAD?

    **Since posting this, I have made adjustments to improve the audio quality of future episodes, as you can hear on Episode 3 - Making Excuses** In this episode, I go over why I chose to do OMAD, some of the benefits of OMAD, and some OMAD resources. I also briefly discuss my history with dieting and weight loss. This isn’t the first time I am attempting this journey. No, I've been down this road before. Like so many who have tried to lose weight and failed, only to try yet another diet, another way of eating, another fad or fast fix, I am familiar with all of it. What makes this time different? Honestly, only time will tell. I am going through this journey in real time just like so many of you out there. And at almost 40, it’s hard. But I will never stop chasing my dreams of being the healthiest version of me I can be.
