Skeptiko – Science at the Tipping Point

There are so many things in this world that are believed with no reason. Skeptico is a refreshing dose of fact, that is delivered in a down to earth but light hearted manner. The fact that truth can only be decided by evidence is the cornerston of this excellent podcast. I always look forward to the next episode.

This is interesting because the author looks skeptically at the evidence but seems to more often than not, draw the wrong conclusion. He is swayed towards believing in psychic dogs, and paranormal events by supposed experts in the field even though the scientific community at large scoffs at the methodologies used and leaps to assume overarching conclusions. Either way, it's good to listen to, if not at least to always remind us to be skeptical of our own beliefs. He says to go with the data, but you also have to understand the quality of the data is important in determining how much can be drawn from it.
