A Manhattan jury convicted former President Donald Trump of 34 felony counts of falsifying business records. The guilty verdict marks the first time in U.S. history that a former president has been found guilty of a crime, and it also makes Trump the first presidential candidate to run as a convicted felon.

Preet is thoughtful and interesting
I had no idea who Preet Bharara was when I first started listening, but that didn't really matter. This former US District Attorney has an amazing ability to analyze current US political shenanigans and help the average lay person understand what's going on. More than just a political podcast, though--Preet pushes listeners to think about what and why they believe what they do, and always comes down on the side of reason and ethicality. His interview with Gary Kasparov is a great episode to start with.
