Veterans, world leaders gather in Normandy to mark 80th anniversary of D-Day invasion
World leaders visited Normandy, France, to mark 80 years since the D-Day landings ushered in the bloody final chapter of World War II. Both President Biden and French President Macron extolled the uncommon valor of ordinary men and women who accomplished the extraordinary that day. Malcolm Brabant reports. How Trump could upend the rule of law and pursue political prosecutions in a second term
For months, former President Trump and his allies have claimed, without evidence, that the Biden administration has weaponized the Department of Justice to pursue prosecutions against him for political reasons. But the presumptive Republican nominee has also suggested a second Trump term could see an escalation of those prosecutions. Laura Barrón-López discussed more with Ryan Goodman. Customer Reviews
What happened?
Just watched very disappointing report on Japan’s handling of COVID-19 pandemic. It seemed this report was only based on the interviews with only two doctors and one foreigner living in Japan. Please stop your obsession on the number of testing and instead, look more deeply into how many CT scans have been conducted to increase the efficiency of the examination process or how many people have lost lives. The strategy might not have been perfect and unique, but somehow the spread has been contained at least for now despite bleak forecasts. I think Japanese medical workers deserve a lot more praises and respect as much as ones overseas. As a longtime fan of your program, I am just really sad to see how short-sighted or shallow this reporting was.
