The Unfortunate Turn of Events

A once-wealthy merchant, now impoverished, seeks shelter in an enchanted palace on his way home. When he plucks a rose from the palace garden, he incurs the wrath of the Beast who owns the palace.  To redeem himself, the merchant must persuade one of his daughters to willingly come and live in the palace, or face dire consequences.
