China

Greatly admire all of your contributions to the wide range of issues that you’ve taken on in this podcast as well as other platforms. I do have one suggestion for you though, you need to update your information on the current status of China. China’s economy is imploding on various fronts and they are dealing with numerous natural disasters as well as man made ones that are causing social unrest. Their banking system is in serious trouble and the belt and road initiative is coming to a screeching halt. Their are numerous YouTube channels you can check out, even Ben Shapiro took it on recently in a video series called FACTS. Know you’re very busy but would love to hear your thoughts after the update. Again thank you for all you’re doing.

Woke and Warring in Geopolitics

As a regular and admiring listener to the Victor Davis Hanson Show, I was dismayed by the over-the-top comments by both VDH and JF on Germany. I am a German speaker, though I have spent most of my life in Japan. (I also speak Italian, which makes me "guilty" of knowing all three languages of the Axis.) I'll readily admit that if one spends a lot of time hanging around German upper-middle-class intellectuals, one can develop at best mixed feelings. There's a holier-than-thou, know-it-all arrogance that reinforces a stereotype to which Americans may already be all too prone. And, yes, die Grünen can be insufferable. (I have friends with whom I try to avoid discussing anything "environmental.") But there's a lot more to Germany than ideology. VDH and JF are both wise and knowledgeable, but we all have our limitations...
