Dr. Siegfried's Biography

Dr. George Siegfried, D.C. has been practicing wellness for over 35 years in McMinnville, Oregon, with an emphasis on general chiropractic service, Whole Food Nutrition, Automotive-Related Injuries, and Bilateral Nasal Specifics Treatment.

EDUCATION
Dr. George Siegfried, D.C., received a double major in Political Science and Religious Studies from Schiller University, Heidelberg, Germany (1974). He completed his Pre-med studies at Temple and Penn Universities, Philadelphia, PA (1976). From 1976- 1987, Dr. Siegfried completed over 1,000 hours of study with Dr. J.R. Stober, D.C., N.D. , the developer of The Bilateral Nasal Specifics Treatment. In 1981, Dr. Siegfried received his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from University of Western States, Portland OR.

A LIFE OF NUTRITION STUDY & REAL-WORLD EXPERIENCE
Dr. George Siegfried D.C. was born in 1951 and grew up in Willow Grove, PA, one of 5 children. His deep understanding of wholefood nutrition began in the 1950s, under the guidance of his father, who was a health expert. Dr. Siegfried’s interest in nutrition continued through his college years in Heidelberg, Germany (1971-1974), and during his years as a merchant seaman for ARCO Oil Company, aboard the ARCO PRUDHOE BAY (1975). At every port visit, Dr. Siegfried would visit health food stores, expanding his knowledge of proper eating and health. It seemed a logical decision to begin higher education in medical school (Pre-Med, Temple University, and Penn State University). Sensing differences in his views on wellness and those of his professors, Dr. Siegfried changed course, enrolling in a chiropractic college in 1976 (University of Western States, Portland OR). This enrollment marked the beginning of yet another advancement in Dr. Siegfried’s nutritional education, as he studied with clinicians and researchers sharing their deep knowledge of wholefood concentrate and vitamins. In 1981, Dr. Siegfried graduated from chiropractic college.

In 1983, Dr. Siegfried was asked by the Italian Olympic Team to join their track and field division. His mission? Bring his chiropractic and nutritional expertise to the sports organization. Dr. Siegfried’s contributions to the team were considered key to the team’s superior performance in the 1984 Summer Olympics.

In 1987, Dr. Siegfried began managing the highly acclaimed Dunn Chiropractic Clinic in McMinnville, Oregon. He practices today.

PERSONAL LIFE
Dr. Siegfried lives with his wife, Rebecca in McMinnville, Oregon. Father of 4 children—all married-grandfather of 4, married for 32 years, avid baseball pitcher in the Portland Baseball City Leagues since 1976 when he first came to Portland, Dr. Siegfried has no plans to retire.
