Varsity Dads is a weekly podcast hosted by Ryan and Tobin, slightly above-average dads who'll discuss the good, bad, funny, and cringe-worthy of various youth sports.
We'll key in on a topic each week, alternate formulating a list (the Starting 5), and share one or two anecdotes from our week in sports.
Varsity Dads are trying to build a lighthearted bridge between the innocence of youth sports and the cut-throat spectacle some make it out to be.

"...For it's one, two, three strikes you're out at the old ballgame." Well, we fouled off the first two pitches before putting the third one in play for a bloop single (bloop single meaning we successfully recorded the entire episode in one shot).
In Episode 1 of Varsity Dads, Tobin and Ryan talk about an overenthusiastic grandmother, Lavar Ball, sideline behavior of parents at kids' games, what can be done about the bad behavior, and of course the "Starting 5" sideline parents you DO NOT want to be.
