Justin Scott Snead: Writer, English Teacher, Star Trek Fan
Masterpiece Science-Fiction Theater Podcast

Science-Fiction writer Justin Scott Snead reviews episodes of his favorite genre shows, especially Star Trek and The X-Files. Each episode explores how the writers, producers and actors crafted story, engaged in world building, and conveyed themes. The podcast will also explore diversity and inclusivity by analyzing how minorities of all stripes are portrayed on screen, and how power dynamics between different groups (in front of the camera and behind it) contributed to or detracted from the final product. In the first series, Justin will review every episode of Season One of Star Trek: The Original Series. In the second series, Justin will do a deep dive into late-season X-Files and review the 2016 revival episodes. He will also be live-podcasting Star Trek Discovery as soon as CBS decides to stop taunting us and premiers that show. Welcome Aboard!
