Crime World

The Special Criminal Court will likely hear the cases against Tralee businessman Nathan McDonnell and his co-accused James Leen surrounding their links to a euro 33 million methamphetamine seizure.

An application has been made to move the cases to the three-judge court a hearing was told. Meanwhile, McDonnell will remain in prison after failing to secure bail in an appeal on a decision to keep him in custody.

Nicola speaks with Niall Donald about the case and about further seizures of the drug, controlled by the Sinaloa Cartel on mainland Europe.
