You're all geared up and ready to finally write a query that get results. But, HOLD ON!  What does your LinkedIn profile look like?  Have you taken the time to create a professional profile page that editors and serious prospects can visit and decide that you're the one?

Let's say you've succeeded in creating a sense of interest/curiosity that prompts a potential client to want to know more about your work.  One of the first places they'll go to is your LinkedIn profile. 

That's why I'm asking you to back up a minute.

Make sure your LinkedIn profile is professional and up to date, even if you do have a website, but ESPECIALLY if you don't.
