39. 99 God Given Weapons

“deny not the gifts of God, for they are many; and they come from the same God. And there are different ways that these gifts are administered; but it is the same God who worketh all in all; and they are given by the manifestations of the Spirit of God unto men, to profit them.” - Moroni 10:8 Elder Bruce R McConkie tells us that the gifts of the spirit are “infinite in number and endless in their manifestations because God himself is infinite and endless, and because the needs of those who receive them are as numerous, varied, and different as there are people in the kingdom.” The adversary doesn’t want us to discover our gifts because he knows they are the keys to strengthening our relationship with Christ but also in fighting back. I have compiled a list of 99 spiritual gifts or 99 God Given Weapons from Scriptures, Scripture Stories and inspired words from Leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but you can also reference your patriarchal blessing for specific gifts you have been given, this is to get you started, get you excited and get you thinking of your own gifts. 25. Personal revelation vs Receiving a calling

I have been thinking about why I trust other people’s abilities to receive revelation for me, but I don’t believe or question the revelations the Lord sends directly to me? I have never said “no” to a calling, so I guess I trust others to receive revelation from the Lord for me. On the other hand, I doubt all revelation that comes directly to me because I think it's a weird idea that I just made up. I have even been known to delay my response to revelation from the Lord and I say no way more than I say YES. Pretty sad huh? WHY IS THAT? Elder Dale G Renlund quoted Nelson Mandela saying, “a saint is a sinner who keeps on trying.” Gaslighting can lead someone to lose their sense of self and cause further trauma through Self-Betrayal. "Cursed is he that putteth his trust in man.” (2 Nephi 28:31 & Jeremiah 17:5)

40. Ditch the Snitch

Now, I know I am not the only one that has had this experience, there are a lot of articles out there describing “mom guilt” from women who use their God given weapons from home or from work and even mom guilt from women who just want to take an hour to go to the gym. The guilt trips are always there! So the pattern here is not that I am actually neglecting my family but that the adversary doesn’t like us using our God given weapons or improve ourselves in any way or help others, no matter where we are. So if he is gonna give us the same messages everywhere then it’s not us, it’s him! Elder Jeffrey R Holland has shared with us, he said: “Except in the case of His only perfect Begotten Son, imperfect people are all God has ever had to work with. That must be terribly frustrating to Him, but He deals with it. So should we.” So let’s be kind and patient with ourselves no matter where we choose to use our weapons. And remember the only thing that matters is, “What thinks Christ of me?”

H.58. The 5 Second Rule

Brené Brown says, “You can choose courage or you can choose comfort but you can’t have both.” Mel Robbins has come up with a BRILLIANT rule and an additional tool or weapon we can use against the resistance we feel after we decide we want to pursue something awesome, which I briefly mentioned in Episode 9. It’s counting down when you get a prompting or idea to do something meaningful like a goal or a commitment. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 and then just "GO & DO" like Nephi and like Enoch in 5 seconds! Mel also says, “Courage is the ability to do things that feel difficult, scary or uncertain. That is the true power of courage; it reveals you. The greatest version of you.” This builds your confidence. If you have low self esteem, go and do something hard and courageous. Then come back and tell me how it went because I love to hear when you can impress yourself. What's up with the Letters and Episode numbers? Each episode (episode numbers will now have letters) will focus on one or a couple of the principles found in my C.R.U.S.H. Framework. Each episode is meant to strengthen you if you need additional help with one particular principle, check the letter in the podcast. As we use this framework we will be able to CRUSH satan's head and accelerate our healing because we are discovering and using our gifts in this unique way. H = Hasten to Heed. Hasten to heed the Lord's promptings. Finally after so much practice with our loved ones we are ready to serve beyond the safety of our loved ones, as we follow those promptings and ideas to serve others outside our immediate safe circle our confidence in Christ’s ability to help us grows and in turn our confidence in ourselves does too. 49. The Paris Battlefield

During our good times we planned a family trip to Paris because we wanted to take advantage of a really great deal. But of course I later regretted it because now I was feeling the effects of another "lost battle" and just having a lot of attacks from the adversary and all I wanted to do was to be alone so I could focus more on my healing. There’s always something else and because we cant control other people we don’t want their actions to keep us from living our best life with your favorite people, our family.
