    The big underlying problem with uncertainty is that it causes stress and anxiety. Mortals have a deep and abiding fear of the unknown, and our brains are programmed to be this way. In 2015, a team of researchers conducted a study to chart the amount of stress induced on participants as a result of uncertainty.
