It is an ancient shamanic technique to travel to our unconscious. Yet Jung helped to bring it back into our society, so that we might get a grip on our inner world, angels and demons, archetypes and symbolism that is trying to speak to us from our unconscious, if we only made use of it in a productive and healing way….. It seems so. And yet it isn’t so everywhere in the world. There is still such a thing as oral traditions. That’s a wonderful way to train memory into a lineage of people! Yet, now more than ever, the witnessing and recording of everything is rampant and intense. Here , I go into a historic perspective and then presenting the witness, the scribe, as an archetype that we can use as our ally on our path. Many possibilities can be presented as true when we experience being flooded by a source that is not our daily ego or self. What is it then that inspires us? Why do we long as human kind to be in that creative flow? It can be described as being in communion, in dialogue with some inner force, imagery, figures, memories or focus of interest. It is an infinite source. Here, I am being personal about my own path and ways to tap into creative source.
