MDTribe - Second Year Pharmacy Student, Anjali Talwar

Welcome back for the final episode of 2020! This week we are featuring Anjali Talwar, Second Year Pharmacy Student at the Gregory School of Pharmacy of Palm Beach Atlantic University. Anjali is a friend I met in undergrad at Florida State University (#GoNoles) and was so kind to share her journey to choosing Pharmacy as her career. What I love most about Anjali's story is how she authentically highlights one of the biggest struggles that we can face in pursuing a career--making a career change. Countless of times, I had friends get stuck (sometimes for years) in pursuing a career that they initially thought was for them, the career they spoke about for years, the career their parents wanted for them, etc.  Despite receiving several signs to reroute, they insist on that career that in the end they realize was not for them. As a woman who matriculated in an international/Caribbean medical school and did an entire semester, Anjali made a brave move to pack up and leave the island. She tells how about that experience and how she reevaluated her life and goals to select the right career for her. Anjali is passionate about the collaboration of medical professionals, especially Pharmacy, and their impact and role in healthcare. I hope you enjoy this episode just as much as I did!  Subscribe & leave a review to support #MDTribe !  Full episode on Youtube: https://youtu.be/3B6jN_pa34w Thank you for supporting #MDTribe & keeping up with our episodes highlighting the impact and journeys of women in medicine.
