[ Part 1 of 4 ] Sheppard v Bryant On August 31, 2009, there was a catastrophic collision between a cyclist and a motorist on a busy downtown Toronto street — a collision so unfathomable that it shocked bystanders and the city at large.  Darcy Allan Sheppard died on the street that night. The motorist, former Ontario Attorney General Michael Bryant was arrested, charged, and released the next morning.
