Episode 2: Transition and Special Education with Olivia Spencer

Able Transition: Dreams Fulfilled

Friends, this episode is with one of our own transition specialists, Olivia Spencer!

Transition has been a passion for Olivia since working towards her undergraduate degree in Special Education at Western Carolina University. After graduating and becoming a special education teacher for students with intellectual disabilities in a public middle school, she had a deepened passion for high quality transition planning and sought a Masters Degree in Secondary Special Education and Transition from the University of Kansas. Olivia has six years of teaching students with significant intellectual disabilities, ages 14-22, across two states, both in private and public school settings. Meeting families where they are in the transition journey, and providing excellent consultation and planning to ensure a successful future for individuals with disabilities is her passion.
