The Lost WABC Tapes

Aerial View

An Aerial View Archive from May 31, 2016, originally heard over WFMU and not since. Features a ton of archival Mid-1960s "Go-Go" era WABC-AM audio salvaged from the garbage and dubbed from reel-to-reel tapes. Includes mic breaks, news reports, commercials, stingers (including PAMS imaging) and garage rock via Cousin Brucie's Big Break contest. Stay tuned for yet more rare radio audio, including Alan Colmes throwing the switch to transition WNBC-AM into WFAN-AM on Oct. 7, 1998; the inventor of FM, Maj. Edwin Howard Armstrong tests FM networking via the Yankee Network on Feb. 14, 1941.
