More about Akshay AKA Fearvana: Akshay Nanavati is a Marine Corps Veteran, adventurer, entrepreneur, and author of Fearvana, endorsed by the Dalai Lama. Since overcoming depression, PTSD, and alcoholism that pushed him to the brink of suicide after serving on the frontlines during the war in Iraq, he has run ultramarathons, spent 10 days in darkness, explored the most hostile environments on the planet, from mountains to caves to polar icecaps, and is currently training for a solo, 110-day, 1700-mile crossing of Antarctica.
