    5 Content Ideas You Can Use Today

I’ll bet just like every other human out there, you sometimes (or often) struggle to find things to say and post about. Most people create BMS posts - This stands for Buy My Stuff. The main reason people resort to BMS posts is because they don’t have a clue what else to say! They haven’t got a strategy! While they’re important; too many BMS posts turn people off. Nobody gets inspired or excited about a constant stream of adverts that don’t bring them any value. You need to hit a balance of giving value before asking for anything. So like I said; most people resort to BMS posts because they haven’t got a strategy… Let’s fix that now. Here are 5 content types that you can use today to post something interesting, fresh and valuable to your socials. Industry News/Alerts - show that you’re the expert in your field and be the source of the latest news. If you’re not sure where to find this news, you can go to alerts.google.com and when google finds something new under the keywords you chose, they’ll email you about it, giving you the edge over everyone else. Gratitude Posts - these can be gratitude for staff, customers, friends, family, brands, things people did, things people said, things you’ve got, or anything else Local News - if you’re a local business, then become the hub of local news - perhaps focus on a certain aspect that may relate to your business, or just embrace the whole community. One suggestion, though; aim for positivity. Focusing on negative stuff will just give people a negative impression of you and your business. Awareness Days - Always handy on a slow news day, but actually can bring you a lot of traffic from the relevant, related hashtags. The best part is because you wouldn’t usually use those hashtags and be seen by that crowd, but now you have a legit reason for using them. It’s not a huge task to make something rather obscure (like National Radio Day) fit your business. You could talk about your podcast (that’s kinda like radio), or talk about the local radio station (and remember to tag them). UGC - User Generated Content. Have your customers sent you pictures of them using your product or service? Ask them if you can share on your socials Media! This can actually be a great competition idea, asking people to tag you in pics or videos of them using your product or service - the best part of this is they typically have to have bought something to take part!
