463 - Australian Bushranger Moondyne Joe

Do Go On

Moondyne Joe is Western Australia's most famous Bushranger, but as first time guest Angus Gordon tells us, he is more famous for his jail escapes than his bush ranging!

Note: Angus was raw dogging this report and let us know he got a couple of names wrong: the convict he called Simon Levey was actually named Solomon and the Governor of Swan River was Hampton not Hudson.

This is a comedy/history podcast, the report begins at approximately 04:46 (though as always, we go off on tangents throughout the report).

Do Go On acknowledges the traditional owners of the land we record on, the Wurundjeri people, in the Kulin nation. We pay our respects to elders, past and present.
