I-80 Football Show: Who wants to win a big game less, James Franklin or Ryan Day?

Welcome to a new episode of Land-Grant Podcast Network’s I-80 Football Show. On this show, we travel down I-80 to talk all things Big Ten Football. This is the only Big Ten Podcast that’ll cover all 18 teams. After every week of action, we will catch you up on all the conference’s games and look ahead at the matchups, storylines, and players you should be paying attention to for the next week. My name is Jordan Williams, and I am joined by my co-host Dante Morgan. In this episode of the I-80 Football Show, Jordan tries his best to focus on the podcast while the Yankees actively blow game five of the World Series. The podcast begins with the guys trying to determine what leads students to pay over $55,000 a year in tuition but skip class. In the traffic update, we’re once again stuffed with little news outside of Michigan quarterback Jack Tuttle retiring from college football in his seventh season after his fifth concussion.  While recapping the previous week's slate, Jordan tries his best to not derail the show with his disappointment in Ryan Day but it doesn’t work. Jordan believes that Day has proven after six years that he is not the man for the job. His flaws are all over this team including his decision to not bolster the offensive line in the transfer portal after struggling to recruit along the offensive line for the past three or four recruiting cycles. Now a week after almost losing to Nebraska, the Buckeyes have to go to State College and face James Franking and Penn State. Franklin loves to lose big games, especially against Ohio State as he has only one career win against the Buckeyes. In a game of a moveable object vs. a stoppable force, someone has to win this game. So which coach wants to lose more?  In their MapQuest segment, there are no Friday night or after-dark games in the Big Ten this week so the focus is the weekend starts at noon with Ohio State vs. Penn State, the second most important game of the season in the conference. At 3:30 we have Oregon looking to continue their dominance against a disappointing Michigan program. In the primetime slot, we have USC-Washington, the loser of this game is most likely not going to make a bowl game but especially USC if they lose as they have to face Notre Dame and Nebraska in two of their final three games and would need to win one of the two to make avoid a 5-7 season.  In their weekly pitstop, Jordan is frustrated with the Colt's decision to bench Anthony Richardson and with his entire sports fandom as a whole as the Buckeyes, Colts, and Yankees are all frustrated in different ways after being wildly successful when he was a kid.  --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you like the show, please share it with friends and family and leave a five-star review. Silver Bullets Podcast: Nebraska rewind and Penn State preview

We got the Ohio State offensive line answers we were looking for, but that doesn’t mean they are the ones we wanted. The Buckeyes looked terrible up front without Josh Simmons and struggled offensively in a 21-17 home win over the Nebraska Cornhuskers. A few big plays wallpapered over a poor day running the football and Chip Kelly’s worst playcalling of the season. The Huskers played hard and it was almost enough, as the Buckeyes did not play like the angry team Ryan Day promised would take the field on Saturday. We break down the game, discuss all the key talking points, check our score predictions, and see if the Buckeyes we picked to click did just that. After our Nebraska rewind, we looked at the other games around the Big Ten. Oregon continues to roll, and the Wolverines and Spartans continue to save their worst moments for when they’re off the field. Oh, and Indiana won again. Finally, we looked ahead to Ohio State’s trip to face the Penn State Nittany Lions in Happy Valley. After what we saw on Saturday, we’re not feeling great about the Buckeyes, but perhaps they were just exhibiting their usual sleepy post-bye-week play or nearly fell victim to a trap game. Or maybe they’re just not good. One thing is certain: Penn State’s defense is less forgiving than Nebraska’s, so the offensive line must find some answers. We provide our score predictions and choose the Buckeyes we think could have big games on Saturday. We would love to hear from you, so please reach out with your feedback and questions below in the comments section or send us an email. Any questions directed toward us will be answered on our next show. Be sure to subscribe, rate, review, share, and follow the show over on Twitter at @SilvrBulletsPod. As always, thanks for listening! 0:21 - The Buckeyes did not look great in Saturday’s win over Nebraska, nor did they respond like the angry team Ryan Day promised. We discuss. 38:22 - A walk through the weekend’s other scores from around the Big Ten. 51:56 - The Buckeyes travel to Happy Valley to take on Penn State’s formidable defense. Power Two Podcast: Ohio State Should Fire Ryan Day + Playoff Predictions

Welcome to a new episode of Land-Grant Podcast Network’s Power Two Podcast. On this show, we talk about Big Ten and SEC football…and everyone else. This show is for the die-hard fans and the casual college football fans. After every week of action, we will catch you up on all the major matchups of the previous weekend and look ahead at the games, storylines, and players you should be paying attention to for the next week. My name is Jordan Williams, and I am joined by my co-host DaNaysia Jones. Lock in as we run a power sweep through the college football landscape. This week, DJ and Jordan catch up on adulting and how hard it can be sometimes. In the two-minute drill, DJ and Jordan briefly discuss the big games of the week. DJ has declared Ashton Jeanty as the Heisman winner after a close win that he willed his team into over UNLV. Jordan shares some very strong thoughts about the state of the Ohio State program and its future. There were many ideas about what needs to be improved and who should be fired. DJ and Jordan also shout out Vanderbilt for having such a great season despite the losses, they are proving to be a threat which is great for them. DJ and Jordan don’t seem too frustrated with the Power Rankings this week. DJ is overjoyed that Michigan has stayed out of it and confused about the placement of certain undefeated teams. In this episode, Jordan and DJ introduced their Mid-Season playoff Power Sweep where they shared their potential playoff contenders. There was some disagreement about the placement of teams and which teams would make it in. For the Pregame Power Seep, we suggested: Friday: Boise State- San Diego State, Noon: OSU - Penn State, Mid-Day: Georgia - Florida, Oregon - Michigan, Primetime: Pitt - SMU, Louisville - Clemson, Kentucky - Tennessee, A&M - South Carolina and Honorable Mention: Texas Tech - Iowa State. Grab your popcorn because many of our playoff predictions could be legitimized or delegitimized during the evening slot.  In the two-minute warning, Jordan speaks about Lil Durk’s charges, his application for his doctoral program, and his disappointment in the Yankees. DJ shared her Dwayne Wade’s statue reaction, her love for the Bam Adebayo and A’ja Wilson relationship, the WNBA coaches firings, and the Commander's game-winning touchdown. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you like the show, please share it with friends and family and leave a five-star review.
