About

Countless Journeys & D’innombrables Voyages are original podcast shows created by the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21. Our podcasts highlight the Museum’s unique content by connecting Canadians to personal stories of immigration. Drawn from the Museum’s collections and new interviews, these stories remind us that as a country shaped by immigration, we are all deeply impacted by it. Two hundred years ago or 2 years ago, regardless of the date of arrival, these stories contribute to the collective experience of what it means to be Canadian. Season 2 of our podcast shares stories of how immigrants from a wide background of countries and cultures contribute to this country daily. By creating families, businesses and communities, immigrants have had a profound and lasting impact on Canadian life. We hear from them in their own words, as they share with us both the obstacles and the humour they experienced on their way to building lives that would create opportunities and a better life for countless others along the way. People like broadcasting visionary Moses Znaimer, groundbreaking playwright Trey Anthony, community activist and organizer Marcie Ponte and the CFL’s ‘all-time most winningest” coach Wally Buono. Season 2 welcomes Paolo Pietropaolo as our new English host and welcomes back Kim Thúy as our French Host. The Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 is located at the Halifax Seaport. Between 1928-1971 almost one million immigrants arrived in Canada at Pier 21. Reopening the public in 1999, Pier 21 became a National Museum in 2011. Pier21.ca
