Episode One: THE INHERITANCE

From the outset, it was clear that to properly measure the success and failure of Roland Duchâtelet’s network at Charlton, it was vital for Getting to Know the Network to assess the club he inherited. Episode one, The Inheritance, sets the scene for Duchâtelet’s arrival at The Valley. It explores the years immediately prior to the takeover and why it became necessary that the club was sold. Among those interviewed in The Inheritance is former England international and Charlton legend Chris Powell, who led the club to the League One title in 2012 and was manager of Charlton when Duchâtelet took over. Powell, along with a series of former players, staff and board members, discuss the state of the club before anyone had heard of Roland Duchâtelet.
