The Holiness of God

In Leviticus 10, Aaron's sons Nadab and Abihu offer unauthorized fire before the LORD, and fire came from the presence of the LORD and it consumes them. They are consumed because they disobey God's command and dishonor the LORD in the sight of the people. However, as those who have received the promised Messiah, we now understand the immense gift of God's grace in and through Jesus Christ. He was sent on our behalf as the only perfect, spotless Lamb of God to be crucified on our behalf that we might be reconciled to the LORD, protecting us from the wrath we deserve.
