How the STREAMING problem "cancelled" THE ACOLYTE (ft. Nicky Kumar from The Imperial Senate Podcast)
The streaming model is broken and it has claimed The Acolyte as its latest victim. Our friend Nicky Kumar from The Imperial Senate Podcast joins us as he recounts his experience at D23 and all the cool things he saw there (particularly The Volume at the Lucasfilm showroom). The big news, of course, is the reporting through Variety and others that Lucasfilm (Disney) won't be continuing with a second season of The Acolyte. This isn't the first time it has happened to Lucasfilm, as Willow met a similar fate. Would something like this have happened before the Age of Streaming? We discuss this and more, and how less Star Wars is bad news for everybody.
