#46 Kristen Brokaw - Forming a community of functional and integrative doctors Volver al Futuro

In this episode we chat with Kristen Brokaw, who, as a result of a car accident and the consequent chronic pain, had the opportunity to see functional doctors that opened a whole new perspective for her health. She decided to dedicate her professional life in empowering more health professionals in this new way of thinking and practicing medicine. When she started the St Louis Institute of Integrative Medicine, she did not imagine that hundreds of doctors were going to form a thriving and close community of health professionals, who with similar philosophies, are re-inventing care for patients with chronic problems.

Kristen Brokaw is the founder of SLIIM, The St Louis Institute for Integrative Medicine. A non-profit group that for 13 years has served as a directory of Functional health professionals, as well as a space for constant meetings between integrative and functional doctors who are questioning and re-inventing the conventional way of doing medicine.
