Episode 47-Strength Lab Superheros vs Sport Science with Simon Brundish

Platform to Perform Podcast

On episode 47 of the Platform to Perform Podcast I spoke to the brains behind StrengthLab Superheros, Simon Brundish. StrengthLab Super heros was born out of Simon’s desire to create a movement program to engage children in developing physical literacy, using the theme of superheros. In today’s podcast Simon and I discussed

· How StrengthLab Superheros came to fruition and how Simon would recommend using it in a coaching setting

· Where sport science is hindering rather than helping youth and elite athletes

· Why physically testing youth athletes doesn’t improve athleticism and physical literacy (and what Simon would recommend instead)
