Born and raised in Nigeria, DJ FRESHYK (also known as 'Kelvin') at a young age, considered music to be a form of language whereas 'Where words fail, Music Speaks'. Great musical icons such as: Fela Kuti and Michael Jackson inspired Kelvin to develop a talent for drums in his community church. Naturally an 'entertainer' by heart, Kelvin once modeled with 'Stainless Modeling Agency' in Lagos, Nigeria in addition to teaching popular African dances in Europe Russia where he attended college. His fluency in English, his native language Igbo and Russian has paved the way for him to appeal and relate to his many followers worldwide. Apart from living out his passion as a DJ; Kelvin loves cooking, outdoor sports and traveling. DJFRESHYK specializes in: Afrobeat, Soca, R&b Hiphop and Pop just to name a few. He is an official 2016 NEA (Nigerian Entertainment Award) nominee for Best Diaspora Dj and AFRIMMA AWARD.
