#18 The Case Against “Moving In Silence”

For shownotes and to get this episode in your inbox:

    “Move in silence”

    “Be careful of evil eye”

    “Be mysterious online”

Many of us, including me, have lived by these mantras… in my view, to our detriment. It’s time to change that. In this episode I unpack aaaallll the reasons why you should let go of moving in silence this summer (and beyond)

00:00 — Speaking it into existence ≠ moving in silence

09:35 — Let’s talk about Joseph, because people keep misinterpreting the story and it’s upsetting me

26:40 — Do you believe there’s wisdom in a multitude of counsellors, or not?

27:36 — Oh, is that me talking in depth about my personal life? Maybe.

34:15 — “I’ve been betrayed, I don’t want to go through that again, what should I do?”

34:17 — How to deal with betrayal - “After all, computers crash, people die, relationships fall apart. The best we can do is breathe and reboot.” — Carrie Bradshaw

#17 How to Deal with Unanswered Prayers & What To Do While You’re Waiting

#17 How to Deal with Unanswered Prayers & What To Do While You’re Waiting

How do you keep going when nothing is working? How do you deal with unanswered prayers? No matter how ‘good’ things appear, most of us are still hoping for SOMETHING. At the end of 2023, I found myself in tears, unable to trust the process. My hope was lost, I had so much frustration and I was just over it.

Here’s how I found my way back to clarity and peace. I hope it helps you too. Let me know what you think!

#16 Q&A: Friendships, “No Days Off” & Making Better Decisions

I’m SO excited about this episode because there’s SO. MUCH.  that we cover! I asked on our Instagram stories which questions and dilemmas you guys have, and now I’m answering them from my POV.

    I answer:

How to grow, manage and maintain GOOD quality friendships (there’s layers to this)
How to balance rest and wellness in our fast-paced world (spoiler alert: fasting is a game changer)
How to be “wise” - i.e. how to make decisions and think in a way that improves the quality of your life

I really enjoyed answering the questions in this episode, if you have more dilemmas or general questions please DM me on the @takewhatyouneedpodcast Instagram! Please add as MUCH detail as possible, it makes the entire experience so much richer.

    #15 "If it’s not a clear yes, it’s a no, darling" — 5 Principles to Stand On in 2024

    #15 "If it’s not a clear yes, it’s a no, darling" — 5 Principles to Stand On in 2024

We don’t do New Year’s resolutions around here, instead, we digest and live by new concepts that have the power to shift our entire 2024.

Accompanying this episode is the Year-End Playbook, a simple interactive guide to help you reflect on 2023 and confidently plan for 2024. The last time this was launched in 2019, over 1,000+ downloaded it and loved it — now it’s bigger and better. Get. Into. It. Download here.

In this episode, I share some of my anchors for the next 365+ days ahead:

Unapologetically ask for what you want and need - let go of the idea of self-sufficiency
If it’s not a clear ‘yes’, then darling it’s a ‘no’ - so let them go
Cry now, the boss up - how to feel all the feels and then move forward
Dare to dream - why it’s okay to aspire for the highest version of your life
Keep your appointments - enough said

#12 "It's okay to be the villain in someone else's story" — Breaking out of old, familiar cycles ft. Kim vs. Kourtney, Kyle Richards vs. Kathy Hilton and more

#12 "It's okay to be the villain in someone else's story" — Breaking out of old, familiar cycles ft. Kim vs. Kourtney, Kyle Richards vs. Kathy Hilton and more

This is one of those episodes that holds up a mirror to the relationships in your life... are you ready?

Through a series of highly televised sibling rivalries (Kourtney vs. Kim, Kyle Richards vs. Kathy Hilton, Kendall Roy vs. Shiv Roy vs. Roman Roy) — we explore how to navigate the tension between putting yourself first and looking after yourself, vs. being part of cultural and familial systems that might just be... a little toxic.

I hope this episode makes you a bit more free in some way or another.

#14 “Start seeing yourself as a success NOW" — How to Prepare for the New Year with Confidence

#14 “Start seeing yourself as a success NOW" — How to Prepare for the New Year with Confidence

It’s that time of year when we start looking back on what we’ve ‘done’ and wondering if it measures up. The question is, ‘measures up’ to what?

Inspired by a recent conversation at a house party, this week’s episode explored the idea of what success looks like and can be — and how adapting the mindset that you’re a success right now, just as you are is the key to setting yourself up for even more success in the future. Enjoy!
