Lisa Richardson, MD, joins us to discuss her path into medicine, creating a better and more inclusive system of care, the importance of language, what is needed for good mentorship, and so much more!

Dr. Lisa Richardson is a mixed blood Anishinaabe physician and clinician-educator. She practices General Internal Medicine at the University Health Network in Toronto. She is the Associate Dean, Inclusion & Diversity at the University of Toronto’s Temerty Faculty of Medicine. She is also the Strategic Lead in Indigenous Health for Women’s College Hospital where she founded the Centre for Wise Practices. Dr. Richardson is a strong advocate for Indigenous health equity and Indigenous health education at the local, national and international level.
