Laura Richard’s examines cases with a shrewd and detailed eye, and is informative. She is clinical and pulls no punches in her assessment.

This is so much more that a true crime podcast. It’s the result of a decades worth of activism to uncover the true roots of gruesome violence and its impact on its victims. Such horrific crimes are not entertainment. They uncover a disturbing societal picture that must be addressed, not only in our hearts, but in the policies that endanger the public and protect the perpetrators.

I’m don’t listen to or watch “True Crime” podcasts or shows. I don’t find entertainment in glamourising or sensationalising the men who commit serious violent acts on women - including extreme psychological abuse. Laura Richards has razor sharp focus on the victims and their relatives as well as educating listeners about the predictable patterns of abuse they suffer. She does this through indefatigable forensic dissection of cases. Her professional background in this area shines through and sets her apart. As an aside, she is a brilliant role model for girls - and women who haven’t had a strong, intelligent and empathic role model in their lives. Why she’s not winning awards left right and centre is beyond me. Mind you, what use is an award when you’ve actually been involved in changing laws to protect women, across the world!

As a long time stalking victim and a person who has a serious interest in profiling since childhood, I can only say that Laura Richards has my deepest respect for the work she does. Her passion and determination are truly needed in today’s world, and IMHO contagious. Thank you for all you do!
