#201 Hunter Brock – Making a Career of Motherhood

Hunter Brock is married to the man of her dreams and lives with him and their four children in Fayetteville, North Carolina, where the Army has stationed them right now. She spends her days “doing the next thing,” honing her skills in homemaking, writing, and child-rearing and is heavily involved in Christian Ministry to soldiers.

In this episode, Hunter and John talk about some of the lies that women hear from the enemy, our culture, and social media. Hunter explains that our worth is really in Whose we are, and our ability to thrive comes from understanding Who are are loved by.

#199 – Danny Perez: Intensive Care Units Encouraging Rich, Authentic Community

Danny Perez wrote a great book titled Intensive Care Units. In it, he talks about how important it is for us as Christians to grow into Christ together. We are created for connection, and the only way to become mature in Christ is to do it together. And if we think we're becoming mature in Christ, but our love for people isn't growing, we are not becoming mature in the Jesus of the Bible.

Danny and his wife, Kathryn, have been serving and loving military members and their families with Cadence International since 1984. Their lives are filled with people: loving, encouraging, mentoring, caring for and coming alongside them as they grow towards maturity. They offer the body of Christ a healthy dose of transparency and laughter while pursuing the lost and building up the believer. Danny has a Masters in Biblical Counseling from Colorado Christian University. They have been married since 1988 and are the parents of four grown men and grandparents of two adorable grandchildren. Danny is known for his puns and love of games.

#198 – Neil Cole: Life-Changing Lessons From the Apostle Paul

It's no secret the Apostle Paul is an important person in the New Testament—and subsequent human history over the past 2,000 years. Jim McKnight joins Andrew and special guest Neil Cole to take a closer look at Paul's life and ministry. Neil gives insights into how the Lord shaped Paul's life and ministry through the experiences he had during his different missionary journeys, and highlights lessons that can benefit us today. What does it take to follow Jesus for a lifetime?

Neil is author of the new book Journeys – Discovering God’s Paths Of Spiritual Formation Building To A Strong Finish. It is a fresh, fascinating take on the book of Acts. If you are interested in making disciples, you will find this book helpful!

Neil Cole was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. While studying art at California State University, Long Beach, he encountered the good news of Jesus Christ and turned his life over to Him, never looking back. He has authored eighteen books (translated into fifteen languages) and traveled to over sixty nations, sowing the seeds of God’s Kingdom, assisting in the development of organic church movements, and coaching thousands of leaders and churches. Neil has been married for over forty years to his wife Dana. They have three adult children and six grandkids.
