The financial piece of college admissions is very important. But it is also important to see college as an investment in your future. When considering price, also consider what your proposed education at that school will mean for your future in terms of jobs and salaries after graduation.

Be professional in the process including during phone calls, while emailing with colleges and on campus visits. You will stand out if you do!

It is extremely important to visit the colleges you are considering. It gives you a feel for the campus and a deeper level of understanding of what your experience there will be like. Make sure to prepared and ask important questions while you are there.

It is important to know that the colleges you are considering have the major you are looking for. Remember many students change majors during college so also make sure they have other majors of interest in case you are certain you will stick with your program.

International students should try to speak with someone from their own country who is currently at the college. That will give you insight into what campus and the region of the country is really like. This is particularly important if you aren’t able to visit the school before you enroll.
