This series, hosted by Byron Wylder and Gabriel Medina Blackman charts the franchises that define our cinematic landscape, and searches for answers to the questions: Why has this lasted? Why do they keep making them? And why do we keep on going to see them? We've done franchises such as Star Wars, the Terminator, and even classics like The Godfather triology.

    Shazam - WW2020

    SHAZAM! the next Good movie in the franchise. The closest that DC has ever gotten to making a marvel style movie, which makes it pretty good. But better than aquaman? Only Birds of prey is left, and then we'll move on to our next franchise. Stay Safe!

    Here comes James Wan's Aquaman to rescue this franchise. Is it possible?  Byron's favourite film the franchise, but what about Gabe? Does he like it? This franchise is close to finishing, up next is Shazam! Stay Safe!

    Gremlins and Gremlins 2 - OCU Recommendations

    The Gremlins franchise comes from writer Chris Columbus and Director Joe Dante.  This is one of Gabe's favourite franchises, but it's Byron's first time watching them. How does he like the puppet mayhem of Gremlins and it's sequel? We'll continue our DC franchise next! Stay Safe!

    Wonder Woman 1984 is here, in theatres and in HBO Max. It's been a long journey to the 80's, we've been through a rough ride, but how does Patty Jenkin's latest fair against the rest of the franchise? Say Safe!

    Justice League - WW2020

    The Justice League is Zack Snyder's last directed film in the franchise, but it was also directed by Joss Whedon. This is the ultimate DCEU Assemble movie, and funnily enough, it's problems are similar to every other film in the franchise. But the road won't be dark for long, upcoming are a couple of good movies. Stay Safe!

    Wonder Woman - WW2020

    And we arrive to our first good movie in the franchise, Patty Jenkin's Wonder Woman. The first solo hero film since Man of Steel. Wonder Woman has to go into World War I to try and stop the evil within men. This movie was proclaimed as DC's best in the franchise at the time, with some people saying that it surpassed many Marvel movies, does it? But soon, we go back to another dark instalment of the franchise. Stay Safe!

    Suicide Squad - WW2020

    David Ayer's Suicide Squad is the next entry of this franchise. Suicide Squad unites a bunch of Batman villains into a plot to stop meta-humans. But, as it's common in this franchise, things behind the scenes did not go smoothly. This movie is infamous on how the edit was completely changed from the directors original vision, and it shows. After this is an actual good movie, see you then. Stay Safe!

    Magnolia - Our Cinematic Universe Recommendations

    Byron's first recommendation is the Paul Thomas Anderson anthology film Magnolia, the movie with possibly the best cast of all time. It's Gabe's first watch, so enjoy his first impressions! In this new series, each of us are going to show one of our favourites movies to the other. Normally it will be movies that the other has never seen. Enjoy and Stay Safe!
