    Do We Have Two Natures? Identity Confusion

    Many Christians are often a bit confused about whether we as Christians have two natures. Some people teach that we have one nature before we became a Christian, and when we are born again we got another, new nature. This new nature is in conflict with the old one, and often we can still feel that the old nature is most dominant. The solution some preachers give is that you have to feed the good side of yourself, the new nature, so that the old one does not take over again. But that’s a lot of work

    It’s Because of Love

    I do ministry in northern Thailand, and here we run a Saturday school. One Saturday when we had over 60 children, I was quite tired after four hours of driving, pick up and send all the children back home and to teach English for four hours. I started and reflected on this: Why did I have a feeling of contentment and joy?

    When is God Pleased?

    When is God pleased and satisfied with us? Many Christians struggle with this question. I had a quiz on my website for a while back, and one of the questions I had was: When do we please God? I was amazed how many people wrote: It is when I pray, don’t do any sins, sing worship songs, do evangelism, lead someone to Jesus and so on. The focus was on what we need to do, but what is it that really satisfies God?

    Love Keeps No Record of Wrongs

    We have probably all heard that God is love (1Joh 4:8), but what does that really mean? Some believe that God only has love, it's only one of his attributes, and he will show it to us when we deserved it or when we have behaved good. Some believe he only loves me and will hear my prayer when have repented from all of the sins I have done, and they maybe even think: All sins I have done since I was a child and I need to know exactly what I did. There are a lot of people who are not very confident in their prayer, fellowship and communication with him, because they believe that God keeps a record of wrongs.

    What is it All About?

    Have you ever asked yourself this question: What is it all about? It may be in several contexts we can ask ourselves this question, perhaps in relation to the meaning of life, but have you ever asked this question in relation to your faith and Christian life? Maybe you're a bit scared of this question, because it may be associated with unbelief. Sometimes it can be healthy to ask yourself some questions, and God does not get nervous because of it.

    Don't Worry About Anything

    Today, I believe that God has something very special and something new he wants to speak to you about through this scripture: Phi 4:4-7. Do not think that you've heard this before and you do not need to hear it again! I think everyone has experienced and maybe you experiencing it right now, that you have or are worried. It can be anything from money to situations that you have at work. Whatever circumstances you are facing, you can have a peace that surpasses all the understanding. Before I was afraid that when I had a bad day, it was because God did not protect me, or maybe it was even He who made negative things happened and he was angry at me. He sent a curse because I forgot to pray or read in The Bible today, or maybe I did a sin? This is not so! You will certainly deal with a bad day better if you have an attitude of gratitude and thankfulness, and by using time with God by praising Him, and having fellowship with him in prayer, in the morning, it will help you to do so. But most days that are difficult is so because we are not living in a perfect world and we have a spiritual evil enemy too. It has nothing to do about God punishing you in one way or another. There was one who said, "It's not what meets you in life that will break you, but how you handle it." If you have an attitude of gratitude and thankfulness, and believe God is really good under all circumstances, you will handle life much better!
