CHN Insiders - Frozen Four/Transfer Portal
This week, we have the wild juxtaposition of all the fantastic NCAA Tournament games leading into the Frozen Four, with the opening of the transfer portal and all of the bonkers ramifications that -- and the NIL money flowing around -- entails. We dive in depth into both topics.
We also talk to Sam Jefferies, author of the book 'Legacy on Ice' about 2010 Hobey Baker Award winner Blake Geoffrion, and his fascinating story. You can get the book at Amazon here https://www.amazon.com/Legacy-Ice-Blake-Geoffrion-Fastest/dp/0299344908/ or numerous other places.
And coming up next week, we'll have our annual LIVE Frozen Four pregame shows from the concourse at the Xcel Energy Center, two hours prior to the start of Thursday's national semifinals, and Saturday's national championship game. Checkout College Hockey News https://www.collegehockeynews.com for a live stream of those broadcasts -- and the recordings will eventually be in this podcast feed.

CHN Insiders - NCAA Tournament Brackets
The conference champs are crowned, and it's onto the NCAA Tournament. Of course, the Pairwise formula is what determines the teams in the NCAAs, but then the Committee, following some strict guidelines, brackets the field. And that's always not without some controversy. We delve into that, and all of the issues surrounding the teams and who they're playing -- and where and why.
Colorado College coach Kris Mayotte joins to discuss the agony of his team falling .0004 short of making the NCAA Tournament for the first time in over a decade, and what he thinks of the state of the Committee's process. Plus, how his team looks for next season.
And finally, expert prognosticators Mike and Adam -- i.e. not expert -- make their picks for this year's NCAA Regionals.

CHN Insiders - Pairwise Chaos/Playoffs
We're down to Championship Saturday in the conference tournaments, and unto itself, it means a lot of great drama is ahead on the ice. But it also means we're close to the NCAA Tournament field being determined and, more interestingly, bracketed. This year contains a number of potentially thorny, and in some cases, unprecedented situations for the NCAA's Men's Ice Hockey Committee to ponder and work out. We discuss all those possibilities and the solutions, ranging from doing nothing, to radical. ... And finally, there were more coaching dismissals this week. We go into those, and where these coaching searches may go.
