Addictive!!!
I’ve been a fan of the Peter Jackson triologies since I saw them the first time when they came out. I became a Guinea pig breeder not long ago and when I started naming the Guinea pig babies I looked in Tolkiens world and found so many great names. Now I have read many of tolkiens books and my favourite names are the Elven heroes. My favourite Guinea pig babies nowadays are Ecthelion and Glorfindel. I love listening to this podcast when I do chores in the house or on my way to work as a nurse. I have seen the movies with 3 of my 4 children and they know what the world of Tolkien is about. With help from this great podcast I can understand the silmarilion better and it explores the history of middle earth so well … so relaxing, addictive and the beautiful radio voice of Tom makes listening pure delight. Thank you from Norway.
Fantastic podcast
I have listened to this for nearly a year now and this is the best LOTR podcast in terms of telling a story. You make the Silmarillion for the rest of us mortals. But I do want to correct a thing you said in the last episode about the death of Thingol. It is stated: “…alone of the Forsaken Elves had seen the light of the Trees of Valinor…”. You say that it is through the Silmarils that he has seen the light of the Trees. But he has actually seen the Trees with his own eyes because he was one of the three elven ambassadors who visited Aman. Just a minor thing. Keep up the good work. You are amazing!
