There's not many people who know the world of karting as well as Patrick Pearce. A successful karter himself, Pat knows exactly what it is like to be in the position of the young drivers we work with. Combining his years of racing and mechanicing experience, he has built up a wealth of knowledge and respect within the British and European paddocks. In this episode of Passing on Passion, Pat sits down with Kieren to discuss some of the industry's biggest topics.

In this episode of Passing on Passion, Kieren is joined by 2018 British F4 champ and Kokoro coach Kiern Jewiss to discuss his career journey so far. The pair talk karting, the step up to single-seaters and the importance of resilience in the face of difficult career choices. Now a winning driver in Porsche Carrera Cup GB, Kiern shares some of the key moments and lessons learnt in his career so far.

"It's about having that understanding of all the different factors that come into it. If you truly believe that your performance at the track is only based on what you do at the track, unfortunately you're a bit naïve."

In the sixth episode of Passing on Passion, Kieren discusses the issue of mindset within motorsport with Sports Psychology student and Kokoro coach Ben Tuck. Ben shares key insights from his degree and the pair talk consider the unique ways Kokoro Performance is aiding drivers in their mindset and motivation.

"Qualifying is something I'm going to have to nail in order to succeed this year."

In 'Driven To Succeed' Josh is joined by Zak O'Sullivan, last year's British F4 Vice-Champ, ahead of his debut British F3 season. The 16-year-old - who has an impressive racing record in cars thus far - is hoping to make his mark once again this year. Zak shares his motorsport journey from karts to Ginettas to single-seaters, as well as discussing his aims for the future. 

"My dad always watched F1 on telly and I would always watch with him, and from then on I was really intrigued. One day in Singapore I said 'I want to do that.' and he took me to a rental kart track..."

This episode of Passing on Passion, hosted by Kokoro's Chief Marketing Officer Josh, sees our youngest client Dion Gowda sit down for a chat. The pair discuss Dion's entry into karting, his busy year ahead and the ways he works hard off track to aid his on-track performance. This is one not to miss!

"It was one of those years where you just had to get on with it - you had to find a new way. For us for instance, we found new ways of working with and training our clients remotely because we weren't allowed to see each other."
