Thorough and highly entertaining
This podcast is so thorough in treating British history it only proceeded to the year 1000 in >300 episodes. It is packed full of fascinating people, monumental events, unresolved mysteries, raging controversies and tells you about how the people lived, the kings fought and the Vikings, well, vikinged. High quality edutainment based on thorough research, and an excellently edited podcast as well.
Phenomenal!
History conveyed in a manner that seems true to the sources, the scholarly work that brings us the facts, and with a great deal of heart and humanity. History comes alive in this narrative, and truly manages to connects us to the people and events that we know trough the chronicles. Riveting, educational and worthwhile your time!
