A collective of conversations that inspire and encourage runners who know deep down that the world we want to create already exists and that we all play a role in bringing it to life. Join former professional runner and life-long athlete, Tina Muir in this unique running podcast. We don’t talk with professional runners about their wins, what shoes to wear, or what training is best. Instead, we relate every experience back to you, and love to think hard about the questions and dialogue you want to listen to and learn from.
While we bring on well-known guests like Rich Roll, Kara Goucher, Michael Gervais, David Epstein, Alison Desir, and Des Linden, these are not the same old conversations. It’s more like overhearing two friends talking about the deep thoughts that weigh on our hearts daily. Join us in discovering the power of running, why our sport has always been part of humanity, and how we can use it as a tool for realizing our truest self, uplifting our communities, celebrating cultures, and taking care of our Mother Earth.
Angela Pohl: The Challenges of Cancer Don't Stop When the Treatment Stops
Bravery. Courage. Strength. Vulnerability. Our guest today is Angela Pohl, one of our own Running for Real community members. She shares with us the story of her breast cancer diagnostic and treatment journey as she gets ready for a double mastectomy surgery on June 11. There’s so much we can all learn from Angela, starting with her admirable mindset. From her, we learn how we can use our runner’s attitude of courage and determination as tools to aid us in some of life’s hardest challenges.
Together Run with Tina 8: 30 or 45 minute Run
Join me for a 30 or 45 minute run with 2-4 strides along a trail. We start with a check in with our body and mind, take in all our senses, and then have a conversation.
Sika Henry: Speak Your Goals Into Existence
Sika Henry is proof that we can speak our goals into existence. If there’s anyone who exemplifies persistence and determination, it’s Sika. After years of training, a serious bike, crash, and even a pandemic, in May 2021 Sika became the first U.S. Black Female Professional Triathlete. In this episode, Sika shares how she started as a college walk-on, to the workaholic life in New York City, to then come back to sports as a marathoner, and now a triathlete.
Together Run with Tina 7: 30 or 45 minute Run
Join me for a 30 or 45 minute run with 2-4 strides. We start with a check in with our body and mind, take in all our senses, and then have a conversation.
In this episode, I answer Elizabeth's question about my most challenging race. I talk about the two races I consider to be toughest, one I handled badly, and the other I handled well. If we were running alongside one another, what would you say was your most challenging race? When you upload your photo to social media, be sure to answer that question.
Part meditation, part run, all Tina. Would love for you to join me.

Together Run with Tina 6: 30 or 45 minute Run with Workout
Join me for a workout? After our regular mental and physical check in, we do 5 x 1 minute hard (with 1 minute recovery) together. We check in with our senses and surroundings and wrap up the 30 minute with another check in. The 45 minute group will do an additional 2 x 1 minute in the final 15 minutes.
Most episodes contain quite useful stuff to listen :) very inspiring for runners :)
Wery inspiring and excellent interviews!
Fantastic podcast with a wonderful host I feel like I know after listening to her podcasts since I was training for my first marathon 2 years ago. Not done a second one yet due to injury, but this podcast is still relevant even for recreational runners like me. ;)
