    Tonight on Trackside, Kevin and Curt talk about the second day of practice, and the first full day of practice. We hear highlights from the 2006 Indy 500, and its connection to Nolan Siegel. They go down the speed charts, and talk about no-toe speeds, and how they sometimes can be deceiving. Kevin talks about what he heard from teams, and why some teams don’t think using the qualifying sim today posed much benefit. Curt talks about how Kyle Larson is fairing at IMS, and if he is enjoying the experience or not, and the precarious position he is in. They compare Larson’s laps turned to other drivers and show how few laps he has run. They talk about the two crashes on track, and the fact that Marcus Ericsson will have to go to a backup car. 

    Later in the the show, Kevin and Curt talk about the amount of practice time the teams have had so far. They answer questions about when drivers realize they are in trouble for bumping, and they talk about some of the drivers who may be concerned about their position. Kevin talks about how most teams do not want to be anywhere near 30th. They also answer a question about the extra boost only being used on Friday.

    Tonight on Trackside, Curt and Kevin recap the three hour practice session that took place at IMS today. Curt talks about what happened today, including the sheer amount of yellow flags that happened today due to rain. Curt goes down the list and talks about who performed well in practice. Kevin and Curt talk about the bind that drivers and teams are in with the constant rain that is plaguing the first week of practice. Curt gives his thoughts on how comfortable Pato O’Ward feels, and how he thinks he will do during the race. 

    Later in the the show, Kevin and Curt talk about the incident on track with Colton Herta and Christian Rasmussen in which Herta flipped Rasmussen off. They talk about which rookies stood out most during the race. They also go into detail about what you can expect tomorrow and how teams feel with the weather as rough as it has been. 

    Kevin and Curt round out the show providing a schedule for tomorrow’s track activities, what the show will look like tomorrow, and more!

    Tonight on Trackside, it is a rainy day! Only about 23 minutes of practice at IMS took place, and Kevin and Curt break everything down. They talk about qualifying speeds, and if there will be a new track record this year. Curt believes you may see a 2-lap average record being broken, but probably not a new track record. They break down the weather for the rest of the week. They talk about the rivalry between Santino Ferucci and Romain Grosjean, and how that will play out the rest of the month of May. 

    Later in the the show, Kevin and Curt head to the X Box to answer some listener questions. They talk about IndyCar’s TV partner for next year, they also go through driver-by-driver and talk about how each of them did during the Sonsio Grand Prix. They also delve into Pato O’Ward’s performance, and the woes he has had with his team, and Colton Herta’s comments about Marcus Ericsson.  

    Kevin and Curt round out the show talking about the schedule for tomorrow, what cars didn’t turn laps, and the status of Tony Kanaan on turning laps at the track in case Kyle Larson cannot compete due to a rain delay. Kevin also talks about the hybrid start date.

    Tonight on Trackside, Kevin and Curt get ready for preparation for the Indy 500 to kick into high gear. They start the show talking about the weather for tomorrow, and how it may affect on-track product tomorrow. They talk about Tony Kanaan, and his position as a reserve driver for Kyle Larson. They talk about Larson’s commitment, and his ability to race in all sorts of motorsports. They discuss what team could be bumped from the 500 this year. They also discuss Burger Bash, and how the Pacers being in the playoffs will affect the show. 

    Later in the the show, Kevin and Curt talk about the Sonsio Grand Prix. They both talk about how they thought Alex Palou would dominate the race, which he did. They highlight how both Will Power and Christian Lundgaard thought Power had the better car, but Palou was just that impressive. They go into depth about Newgarden’s image in racing, and how the team can fix it. 

    Kevin and Curt round out the show talking about what they missed earlier in the show, including 100 Days to Indy, and the weather for tomorrow at the track, and previews Beyond the Bricks.

    Curt and Kevin recap Practice and Qualifying for the Sonsio Grand Prix!

    Tonight, on Trackside with Kevin Lee and Curt Cavin, Curt starts us off as Kevin finishes his play-by-play work on Peacock for the Indy NXT race, by recapping today’s qualifying for the Sonsio Grand Prix. Alex Palou earns pole as Christian Lundgaard completes the front row. Colton Herta and Lundgaard were fastest in their respective practice sessions. Curt even dives into some play-by-play action of his own as Jacob Abel goes back-to-back and wins the Indy NXT race at the Indianapolis road course! Curt talks about the misfortunes of some drivers for today such as Graham Rahal and Colton Herta.  

    Later in the show, Kevin and Curt, Kevin joins us as he gets done with his call on the Indy NXT race. They recap the race with Jacob Abel’s second consecutive win and Jamie Chadwick earning her first podium in the series! They both talk about the driver's different tire strategy for qualifying and for tomorrow's race and who could be the biggest mover of the race, and if anyone could catch up to Alex Palou and Will Power.  

    Then to wrap up another addition of the show, Curt and Kevin make their race predictions for tomorrow’s Sonsio Grand Prix.

They talk about how they think Pourchaire feels about his new position in IndyCar. Kevin talks about some new liveries on cars for the month of May, and some new sponsors. They also bring up the importance of long-term liveries. 

    Later in the the show, Kevin and Curt talk about attendance expectations for the 500. They also talk about Marcus Ericsson on red flag policy during the 500. They also talk about the likelihood of the ban on the dragon movement being enforced. Kevin ends the segment answering listener questions. 

    Kevin and Curt round out the show answering a few more twitter questions, including eliminating back markers, and the success of Indy NXT Champions and their success in going to IndyCar, and more talk on the mannequin falling from the bridge, including Georgina’s previous position on the bridge.
