    220. How to Create Your Dream Life: 3 Key Decisions to Make Now + My Top Planner Picks & How to Get Yours!

    DECIDE NOW HOW TO THINK: "As a man thinks in his heart, so is he," says the scriptures. If you don't decide ahead of time what you want to think about and focus on, your mind will naturally go to everything that's wrong.  You'll complain a lot and judge and compare and spend too much time in negativity. DECIDE AHEAD OF TIME.  What do you want to meditate on and think about and focus on?  80% of what we spend our time thinking about and focusing on is spent on things that don't give us the life we want. Decide now to focus on things that are good and lovely and life giving.  DECIDE HOW TO FEEL: I know it seems counterintuitive, but you really are in control of how you feel.  You have habits of emotions that you have memorized and learned over time and many of them are not serving you.  DECIDE AHEAD OF TIME how you want to feel. Maybe your body has memorized overwhelm and anxiety, but you don't have to stay in those emotions. Give yourself some understanding and love them some love, allow those negative emotions and then DECIDE how you want to feel.  Life is too short to stay stuck in negative emotions but we must be willing to be with them and feel them and process them. THEN, we are free to decide to generate the emotions we want. DECIDE WHAT TO DO: 80% of what we spend our time doing is spent on things that don't give us the life we want. But when you fuel your life with the thinking and emotions you want, you will feel driven to what matters to you. When you do this you start BEING who you want to be.  I’ve been living my life this way for the last several years and I’m amazed at how mentally and emotionally resilient I have become.
