Ep. 02: Chana'e Jones '07

Warrior Rewind

Thanks for tuning in to the Warrior Rewind, where we take time to visit with members of the Valley Chrsitian Athletics community---past and present.  Once a Warrior, always a Warrior.

Today’s guest is a very popular face throughout the Valley Christian community.  Chana’e Jones, Valley Christian class of 2007, spent a lot of time on the soccer and softball fields during her tenure wearing a Warrior uniform. At VC, Chana’e received multiple all-league and -section honors in both softball and soccer, was a member of the 2006 CCS championship-winning girls soccer team, and was selected as her class’ female athlete of the year every year.

Chana’e then went on to accept a scholarship to play softball at the University of Oklahoma, where for 3 years she garnered All Big 12 Honors AND made an appearance in the 2011 Women’s College World Seris.

After college, Chana’e returned to the Skyway campus for a while where she spent some time as a physical education teacher and as a crucial member of our HPC staff.

Today, Chana’e is now back in Oklahoma, where she teaches at Mustang Central Middle School, and coaches softball, basketball, and track.

The host of Warrior Rewind is Rob Fair, class of '09, Valley Christian Assistant Athletic Director and Warrior football & lacrosse coach.
