Welcome to Anime to Z, the podcast that journeys through the world of anime one title at a time. Rapper Che Lingo, an anime lover, is joined by comedian Bec Hill, who is looking to reignite her childhood interest in anime. Together they’ll be deep-diving into two of the most hyped anime titles out there. First up is the Rebuild of Evangelion franchise - tied to the release of the hugely anticipated 4th and final film in the series - and epic viking anime Vinland Saga, answering all of Bec’s burning questions and testing Che’s knowledge along the way.     In the final episode of the Anime to Z podcast Season One, hosts Che Lingo (rapper, musician, anime lover) and Bec Hill (comedian, writer, anime-curious) continue on their epic odyssey discussing the highs, lows and hijinks of historical anime Vinland Saga.  Bec tries to top her all-time best episode recap and Che muses on what makes Thorfinn such an interesting character, and they’re surprised by a special Viking-themed treat at the end of the episode.  Plus they are joined by actor Alexander Ludwig, who played Bjorn in the TV show Vikings, who reveals his favourite memories from Viking life, what being a true warrior means to him and how he took on that bear… Askeladd and his men continue their march to escape from Thorkell. However, their march comes to a halt at the Severn River. Askeladd hands a letter to an old man operating a ferry across the river and tells him to deliver the letter to the other side immediately. As soon as he hears the addressee’s name, the old man sets off in his boat.     In the latest episode of the Anime to Z podcast, hosts Che Lingo (rapper, musician, anime lover) and Bec Hill (comedian, writer, anime-curious) continue on their epic odyssey discussing the highs, lows and hijinks of historical anime Vinland Saga.  Che and Bec speculate on how they would fare as Vikings and deep-dive into the meaning of Valhalla. There’s also discussion of Prince Canute the beaut, a difference of opinion about Askeladd’s intentions and a spear-throwing scene that left both of them speechless.  Plus they are joined in the studio by comedian, animator and YouTuber Alasdair Beckett-King who comes bearing lots of animation knowledge, introduces the concept of ‘ones’ and ‘twos’ and rotoscoping to Che and Bec and waxes lyrical about the characterisation in Vinland Saga.  Thorkell takes Canute hostage and follows after the main army of Denmark. Ragnar objects to Thorkell’s plan to take on the entire army of Denmark, boasting 16,000 soldiers, with only 500 men. Thorkell then begins to tell Ragnar the story of Valhalla, the pride of Normans, a place where only those who die in battle can go. Askeladd’s army, hired by the army of Denmark, was among them. However, after the betrayal of Thorkell the Tall, a Viking known for his overpowering strength, London Bridge has become impregnable. After witnessing the harsh reality of the war to conquer England first-hand, Thorfinn tries to run away, but later throws himself into battle in order to get revenge for his father by defeating Askeladd. One night, Thorfinn gets wounded in battle, and is saved by a mother and daughter living in a village by the sea.
